Baking goes wrong when the oven lies about its temperature. Cookies burn on the bottom, casseroles stay pale, and the preheat beep comes far too early. A failing temperature sensor, a broken bake element, or a stuck relay in the control board explains most of it. Doors that will not seal let heat escape and drive the same complaint. Arden-Arcade kitchens run everything from older gas ranges to newer wall units, and we repair all major brands as an independent company. Tell us what you baked and how it came out. From Arden-Arcade we also cover 95825, 95821, and 95864, plus nearby Carmichael, Fair Oaks, and North Highlands.
Elements weaken before they fail outright, and sensors drift as they age. A crushed door gasket also lets heat leak from one corner. We measure sensor resistance cold, then watch the temperature swing through a full cycle to find which one shifted.
No. That is the most common mistaken assumption in gas ovens. The igniter must draw enough current to trip the safety valve open. It can glow bright and still fall short. We test amperage rather than judging by color.
If you smell gas, stop and shut the supply valve. If a burning smell or sparking is present, turn off the breaker. Uneven heating alone is not dangerous, though results will stay unpredictable until we correct it.
Sometimes. A wall oven often needs to be unmounted from the cabinet to reach the rear panel, and that takes care with the surrounding trim. We plan for it and protect your cabinetry and flooring while the unit is out.
Most Arden-Arcade calls get a same-week window, and often sooner if you reach us early in the day. Tell us the brand and what the appliance is doing when you call us. We schedule an arrival window, not a vague all-day wait, and we text before we head over.
Call us or fill out the form. Describe what you hear, smell or see. Odd noise, standing water, no heat. Have the model number handy if you can reach it.
Pick a window that fits your day. We confirm the address and ask a few questions first, so the van carries parts that commonly fail on your machine.
Our technician tests the machine, explains what failed, and lays out the repair options. Many jobs finish the same visit. Special-order parts get scheduled before we leave.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
Describe the fault, approve the written quote, get it fixed. Starting takes about a minute.
