Burners that click without lighting, or one flame that stays low and orange, need attention. On electric and induction cooktops we see dead elements, cracked glass, and touch controls that ignore you. Gas units in Ontario kitchens often just have clogged ports and a worn spark module, though a bad safety valve is possible too. We test each burner, check the wiring harness, and clean or replace what actually failed. Keep the unit off until we look. Call us or use the quote form and tell us which burners misbehave and when it started.

Modern gas ranges need electricity for ignition and controls. After an outage, the board can lock up. Unplug the range for five minutes, then plug it back in. If burners still won't spark or the oven stays dark, the board or igniter module needs testing.
A brief whiff right at ignition can happen. A smell that lingers, or one you notice when nothing is on, is not normal. Shut the gas valve, open windows, leave, and call your gas utility first. Then call us for the repair.
The glass itself is replaced, not patched. Cracks let moisture reach the elements and wiring underneath, which causes shorts and nuisance shutoffs. We check whether the elements and limiters survived, since those often need attention at the same time.
On electric ranges, a weakening bake element or one failed leg of power slows heating badly. On gas, a tired igniter draws current but never reaches the temperature that opens the gas valve. Both are testable in one visit.
Call us and we'll give you the next open window, often same week. Morning slots go first in summer, when heat pushes refrigerator and AC-adjacent calls up. Have the brand and model handy so we can load likely parts on the van.
Call us or fill out the form. Describe what you hear, smell or see. Odd noise, standing water, no heat. Have the model number handy if you can reach it.
Pick a window that fits your day. We confirm the address and ask a few questions first, so the van carries parts that commonly fail on your machine.
Our technician tests the machine, explains what failed, and lays out the repair options. Many jobs finish the same visit. Special-order parts get scheduled before we leave.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
Describe the fault, approve the written quote, get it fixed. Starting takes about a minute.
